We've have been in the old capital of Japan 'Kyoto' for a few days now, and will remain three days more as this is our "travel-hub". Kyoto is completely different than Tokyo, it is less business like and more cultural. We are staying in a small studio apartment downtown, which is pretty awesome.
Kyoto is famous for it's shrines and temples, seriously there are loads. Some are truly amazing, but after a while it's just another temple (even though they are all very pretty!) But we did climb a really great shrine mountain for about three or four hours. I started to feel muscles I did not remember the excistece of, nor the day after! This particular mountain shrine was so amazing cause it feels like a small pilgrimage to a holy shrine. It really let you feel that way. The pictures will explain what I mean, I hope. Perhaps you got to visit yourself ;)
Furthermore we have been to Nara, another old capital closeby Kyoto. It's a peaceful land silent city. However, the best part of it is.... You can cuddle with bambies, you know the movie Bambi, the small deer. Fun part is of course that the deer's thought Nina had food and followed her while Nina runs away screaming "I don't have anything!!!!". Good laughter is alway welcome, haha.
Also we went to Aryashima, a bamboo forest which looks unreal. Really a dreamy place, was it not for all the tourists over there. Overall Kyoto is great and a lot different then Tokyo, it's a very diverse country, this Japan.
incredible experiences you both have over there, but; you always show pictures of food, does this mean that you got Bambi served?
ReplyDeleteNo Bambi for dinner :( A shame isn't it?
DeleteInstead we ate instant noodle, so ye, no comment!
